Using your badge

Your badge tells homeowners you've passed our checks. Use it everywhere you win work. These rules keep it meaning something.

Version 2.0, September 2026

On this page

1. When you can use it

From the day your profile goes live until your membership ends or lapses. Applicants still in checking, and past members, can't use it.

2. Where to use it

Anywhere you win work: van signwriting, workwear, leaflets, quotes and invoices, site boards and scaffold banners, your website, social media and email signature.

3. How to use it

  • Use the artwork from your print pack exactly as supplied: no recolouring, cropping, redrawing or additions.
  • On your website and social media, link the badge to your profile on expertroofer.co.uk.
  • On printed items, add your QR code, so homeowners can check you in one scan.
  • Use it for your own business only. It can't be passed to another company, a subcontractor or a new owner.
  • Don't use it to suggest we approve a particular job, price or product. It verifies your business, nothing more.

4. When it ends

If your membership lapses, ends or is removed:

  • Online: your badge must come off your website, social media and email signature straight away. We may switch off the hosted artwork so it stops showing.
  • Printed: your badge must come off vans, site boards, workwear and printed materials within 30 days.
  • QR code: it will open a notice that your membership is no longer active.

5. Misuse

Using the badge outside these terms is a breach of your membership terms. Using it without being a member will be pursued.

6. Ownership

The badge artwork and the name Expert Roofer Verified belong to us. Members use them under licence while their membership is active. No ownership passes to you.
